Useful for the liver; Useful for flushing the gall bladder
Description
MILK THISTLE ( Seed ) - Is for the liver. This well defended, handsome, thistle member of the Aster family is easily recognized by the characteristic mottled white areas in its leaves where there is no pigment. The main healing force of Milk Thistle lies in its seed. Milk Thistle seed has proven itself effective for fatty degeneration of the liver as well as poisoning and congestion of the liver through many forms of abuse. Where protection, detoxification and or regeneration of the liver, with a flushing effect on the gall bladder, is needed, the seeds of the Milk Thistle plant are a ready, willing and able herbal remedy.
DOSE: For maintenance of and protection of the liver, 40 drops per day. For correction of conditions listed above, 40 to 80 drops 3 times per day. An equal amount can be rubbed into the liver, as well, each time it is taken by mouth. Apply the Milk Thistle Seed Extract over the area of the liver, under the ribs in front, from one side of the body to the other. For more serious cases, also apply directly to the entire liver area: Vitamin E from 100 i.u. capsules, and Herbal Adj. Then prepare an application of absorbent gauze or cheese cloth saturated with Olive Oil. Next prepare a second cloth in the same manner, saturated with Milk Thistle Extract and place these two layers, first the Olive Oil layer and next the Milk Thistle layer, over the liver area. Cover with plastic sandwich wrap and leave in place overnight, each night until well. Do follow a bowel management program which will produce two, and preferably three, bowel movements per day. A person must be able to void the disgusting wastes cleaned out of the liver, as Milk Thistle Seed does its job, to prevent nausea.
