Description
WILLOW ( Salix nigra ) - Willow bark is a source of natural aspirin. All willows are known to be active as pain relievers. The strongest is, perhaps, the white willow. This natural source of aspirin will not cause your stomach to bleed or burn the nerves and brain. Willow bark contains a compound known as a salicylate (sal'-liss-uh-late), which is the natural aspirin without the harmful, strong, synthetic vinegar used to manufacture tablets from synthetic salicylates. For those who wish to relieve pain and fevers, or keep their blood thinned and prevent clots that cause heart attacks, nature's perfect remedy is the willow bark. Summer bowel complaints of children respond especially well to this remedy. A local application around the eyes, hourly, as needed, (but not in the eye) is excellent for sore eyes. Typhoid fever (potentially fatal, infectious bacterial dis-ease, accompanied by high fever and abdominal red spots with discomfort, causing damage to the spleen, connective tissue around the intestines which connect to the back body wall and to the digestive area of the small intestine known as Peyer's Patches) finds its exact remedy in the willow bark.
NOTE: This particular willow, Salix nigra, BLACK WILLOW, was in common use in Victorian England as an aphrodisiac. It was there that the common name PUSSY WILLOW was attached to this herb. Black Willow does, indeed, reduce tension which might prevent normal reproductive functions.
DOSE: To keep the blood thin, 40 drops 1 to 3 times per day. If too cool, reduce amount and or frequency. To reduce tension, 40 to 80 drops, as needed. If fever or Typhoid infection (Adult), 40 to 80 drops every 3 hours, as needed, to relieve fever and discomfort.

For years I’ve not been able to use over the counter pain medication. After two days of a migraine headache I took Willow.
What a joy and relief it took my migraine headache away!
